Cellar technician

A cellar technician is responsible for installing and maintaining the equipment used to produce wine and spirits. This is a more senior and technical role than a cellar hand, but it requires a similar work ethic and physical fitness.

Marketing

Marketing can be an ideal career for creative people that enjoy building brands and telling stories. You can work for wineries, distilleries, breweries, importers, distributors, retailers, PR agencies, events companies or tourism boards.

Events

This dynamic role involves planning and overseeing events. You might work on consumer-facing events, such as wine festivals or beer festivals. Many events are trade focused, from portfolio tastings to major wine fairs. Additional events include masterclasses, brand launches, dinners, brand activations and press events, so it’s a diverse field.

Brand ambassador in the drinks industry

A brand ambassador serves as the face of a wine, spirits, beer or sake brand. You will host trade tastings, consumer events, masterclasses and press events in a bid to boost awareness of the brand’s credentials.
